Our Engineers

Meet the Moon Team

Lane Banning

Chief Engineer and Founder of Moon, Lane has been on an 8-year journey to build the ultimate creative space for artists, musicians, producers, and engineers.

He first fell in love with the studio in his hometown of Philadelphia, assisting legendary producer and engineer Jim Salamone at Cambridge Sound Studios. While studying Music Technology & Production at New York University, he broke into the jazz engineering world, running sessions for industry legends including trumpeter Dave Douglas at Josh Roseman's state-of-the-art studio, The Loove. He’s since run thousands of sessions at Moon, for a range of reputable clients such as Atlantic Records, Def Jam Records, and groundbreaking artists from Anohni to Dave Weckl, Sasha Velour, Tituss Burgess, and many more.

Lane rarely identifies as a purist, but "you can't beat the classics," and his deli favorite—a whole wheat bagel toasted with regular cream cheese—is as classic as it gets.

Josh Liebman

Josh Liebman hails from Wayne, New Jersey, and lists Studio G, SweetSounds, and the Cutting Room as his stomping grounds prior to joining the Moon crew.

When not engineering at Moon, he can be found immersed in his studies working towards a Master’s degree and Advanced Certificate in Tonmeister studies at NYU.  Also a producer and mixer, he feels most at home working with indie bands and singer-songwriters.

A regular at Nassau Finest Deli, Josh starts his mornings with a Southwestern punch, opting for a cheese bagel and spicy jalapeño cream cheese.

Ike Iloegbu

The only true born-and-bred New Yorker on staff at Moon, Ike calls the Long Island hamlet of Brentwood his hometown. Outside of engineering at Moon, he produces and performs electronic music and can often be found spinning his records across the Brooklyn club scene.

Ike has former experience at Premier Studios and Bunker Studios in New York, and he enjoys working in a variety of genres ranging from electronic to jazz, pop, and hip-hop. It’s also this versatility that helps fuel his passion for the art of mastering records.

Ike always has a smile on his face, so it’s no surprise that he prefers a sweeter morning at the bodega, ordering a delectable cinnamon bagel with strawberry cream cheese.

Sebastian Coloma

The newest member of the Moon Engineering team, Sebastian hails from Caracas, Venezuela, and spent time growing up in Panama City, Panama.

His previous studio work includes PTY Studios in Panama City, where he worked with GRAMMY-winning artists and engineers such as Rubén Blades, Roberto Delgado, Ignacio Molino and Pablo Governatori. Naturally, Sebastian has a particular fondness for Latin music, though he enjoys working with all genres.

In addition to his engineering at Moon, Sebastian is a singer-songwriter, producer, composer, and solo artist, releasing music independently and playing shows around New York City.

Sebastian prefers the flavor-packed yet sophisticated everything bagel with a healthy schmear of cream cheese.
